From prescription to decision, in four steps.
PharmAlert runs the same four steps every time, in the time it takes to write the prescription. Here is what happens at each one, and what comes out of it.
The four steps
- 01 · CAPTURE
- The patient's full clinical picture — current medicines, allergies, renal and hepatic function, pregnancy status, age and conditions.
- 02 · EVALUATE
- Every medicine is checked against the patient, not just against the other drugs — interactions, dosing, contraindications, duplication.
- 03 · PRIORITISE
- Findings are ranked by clinical significance and patient context. What needs attention comes first. What doesn't stays out of the way.
- 04 · ACT
- Each alert carries its reason, its evidence and a safer alternative where one exists. Proceeding is always available, and always recorded.

Where it fits in the workflow

- The check runs as the prescription is written, before it is signed.

Speed
A check completes in well under a second. If a check cannot complete, PharmAlert says so — it never returns silence that could be mistaken for a clear result.
